Jane Webb is an artist, designer, curator and event organiser. She runs a British contemporary studio, specialising in a creative practice of art, design and prop making.

Jane Webb graduated from Central St Martins in 2006. Since then, Jane has shown work at the prestigious Victoria & Albert Museum and London Museum, London’s Leicester square with a public temporary art installation. Her work has been featured in press publications, and TV and Radio internationally.

Jane has been commissioned by several authorities throughout the UK for public light art installations at festivals and events. Also commissioned to create full light events including ‘Light Up’ a light festival for the Olympiad in London and The Museum of London’s ‘Electro-Late’.  She has created props for films and TV studios including Universal Studios and historical props for various museums including The Imperial War Museum and The National Trust. She has been the recipient of several awards and has also been short listed for the ‘Inspire by Awards’, ‘Pride in the House’ and the ‘Future Design Awards’ and won 1st place for The Moich Abraham’s Prize for most Innovative work.

Jane is the founder & curator of Illumini, which started in 2008. A not-for-profit organisation, which creates large, spectacular free events and promotes artists working with light as a medium. The launch of Illumini Events in 2008 attracted 7,145 Visitors, while attracting large media coverage and great reviews. Since then over 25,000 people have enjoyed the Illumini Experience. Jane’s exhibited artworks consist of, futuristic illuminating sculptures and installations made from recycled electronic waste where computer and electronic components are “assimilated”. Her passion to use recycled items in her creations led to her starting the business of Replica Vintage Cans in 2015, creating vintage food tin cans for props and décor for Film, TV, museums and homes. Then in 2020 Funk the Junk launched a shop and blog about up-cycling and creating artworks on everything from vehicle’s, and furniture to trainers.
